Cool e-Cards Are the Hallmark of a Great City

December 15th, 2009 by admin | See what 5 other Friends of Lou had to say about this.

capWhen there’s no snow you build a snowman from what’s around. When it’s time to send out holiday cards and you don’t have money, you send an e-card. Since you’re a Friend of Lou, we got you an equally resourceful present that does both.

To create your your very own, very cool custom-designed Possibility City card, CLICK HERE.

In the seasonal spirit of sharing, feel free to add a comment to the Comment section (below) about other images we might include in next year’s card. And, as always, the senders of the best ideas will get a little special sumpin’ extra in their cyber-stockings.

Who Loves You? Lou Loves You.
Here’s Why.

You’ll get goodies in the mail and weekly emails pumped full of nifty info and giveaways. Plus the skinny on what’s going on around Possibility City. Louisville Expects a Gift from Above

December 2nd, 2009 by admin | See what 2 other Friends of Lou had to say about this.

polaroidcamDecember can only mean one thing: more weather
This is it, Friends of Lou. Brace yourselves for this Winter’s first attempt at redecorating Possibility City.

Forecasters are calling for rain-turning-to-flurries tonight and a slim chance of snow tomorrow. (Of course, in Louisville that means it could just as probably be either 80 degrees and sunny by Thursday afternoon or that we could be under six inches of ice by the weekend.)

Winter’s hottest coolest gift
Still, being the sort of folks who like to make lemon smoothies out of ice cubes, we thought what better time to announce the arrival of our nifty Possibility City snow globes. Featuring itty-bitty replicas of Churchill Downs, Humana, a Toonerville trolley, the E.ON and Aegon Buildings, and the Slugger Museum, you can pick it up (and then shake it) at the Visitor’s Information Center downtown. Or, if you want to avoid trudging through the snow, click here to find it online.

A snowball’s chance in Heaven of winning a free snow globe!
It’s almost the season of giving, so we’re giving away three snow globes to the first three people who upload photos of the anticipated snowfall.

And if it doesn’t snow, well, this is the town to be creative in: think of something in the spirit and upload it instead. Bonus points for inventiveness, obviously.
