Louisville: Looking for a Few Good Possibilitators

October 29th, 2009 by admin | See what 3 other Friends of Lou had to say about this.

leadership.1Louisville’s a place where just about anyone with enthusiasm, talent, gumption, brains, or just a good old-fashioned work ethic can make a go of it.

From “Fortune 500” presidents and PTA board chairs to business people and industry leaders, from neighborhood advocates and trade unionists to girl scouts and boy wonders, Possibility City is a haven for people who are going places and who enjoy making life better for everyone else on the way.

Louisville not only welcomes folks who make things happen, it actively promotes the process. Case in point, the new Leadership Louisville Connector Project.

Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana are committed to growing into the finest region possible. As a Friend of Lou, you’re being asked to help contribute to a team of people you know personally who embody the spirit of can-do-it-ive-ness this city’s built on.

Think as broadly as you can about the people you know from the region. Consider people from different walks of life and with a wide range of skills, abilities, and contacts. Think beyond traditional definitions of leadership to nominate individuals who have a strong interest in working for the common good and possess the knowledge, respect, and network to effect positive change.

Then click here to add them to a list that’s already 3,600 possibilitatin’ people strong.

The deadline’s this weekend — so don’t procrastinate. Nominate.

Who Loves You? Lou Loves You.
