Can You Keep a Secret?
If you can, that’s good to know. But that’s the exact opposite of what we need Friends of Lou to do.

You know Louisville. You know what we’re talking about. But loads of people aren’t as lucky — so we’re asking for your help.

Recruit-a-Friend-of-Lou Month doesn’t sound cool enough for a place called Possibility City, so we’re calling September’s month-long recruitment campaign the Friend of Lou-a-thon.

Our goal is to recruit 20,000 members. (Sounds like a lot, but we’ve got a head start and already have over 16,000.) Anyway, here’s where you come in. . . .

Start Spreading the Word
We need your help finding everyone who loves Louisville. If you want some ideas, try a few of these:

1. Update your Twitter and Facebook status to say, “I’m a Friend of Lou, Why aren’t you? http://friendoflou.com” (or something like that).
2. Send an email to everyone you know proclaiming your love for Louisville. And while you’re at it, ask them to become a Friend of Lou, too.
3. Add “If you love Louisville, you’ll love being a Friend of Lou. http://friendoflou.com” to your email signature.

Here’s a Sneak-Peek, Just for Friends of Lou
Since everyone loves to be in the know, we thought we’d share a sneak-peek of a work-in-progress. We’ve started to gather some of Louisville’s well-known — and not-so-well-known — talking heads.

And you guessed it: they’re Friends of Lou, too.

September is Recruit a Friend of Lou Month

This is the month to climb to the top of the mountain and preach the word of Louisville, far and wide.

If you aren’t in the vicinity of a mountain, how about these three easy steps that you can do in the time it would take to tie up your mountain climbing boots.

1. Update your twitter and facebook status to say “I’m a Friend of Lou, Why aren’t you? http://friendoflou.com” (Or something like that)

So get out there and start spreading the Lou love. We need 20,000 Friends of Lou by the end of the month. With your help, we know that anything is possible.
